＜Royal Mail（英国）＆USPS（アメリカ）共同企画発行の切手紹介＞

　◎2006年1月10日　Animal Tales　Illustrations from Children's Literature　　Royal Mail（英国）と、UPSP（アメリカ）の合同企画

　動物が活躍する物語が描かれたキャラクターということで、
　英国のRoyal Mailと、アメリカのThe United States Postal Service（USPS）が、
　それぞれ8絵柄の切手を共同企画で発行された記念切手
　
　以下イメージ画像でご紹介する切手は、英国Royal Mailが発行したもの。
　
　この切手を発行した2006年は、「The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher」が出版100周年を迎えた記念の年ということで、
　ジェレミー・フィッシャーが絵柄として採用されました。

　残念ながらUSPS（アメリカ））発行分に、ビアトリクス・ポターのキャラクターは採用されませんでした。
　
　同じ絵柄が採用されたのは、
　Royal Mail（英国）発行分の右下から2番目）「The Very Hungry Caterpillar」 Eric Carle LLCと、
　右下）「Maisy」　Lucy Cousin's mouseの2点のみ。




＜FDC　ファースト・ディ・カバー　First Day Cover＞

　FDCとは：
　切手発行を記念して、封筒に切手を貼り、切手発売日の日付が入った記念押印で制作する記念品のカバー（封筒）のこと。
